Bode's Galaxy

Description
This is a highly detailed close up of Bode's Galaxy, otherwise known as Messier 81. This galaxy is often shot with its neighbor, The Cigar Galaxy, but here I wanted to capture the detail in the core. This galaxy appears in the sky left of the big dipper to the north, and is located about 12 million light years away from us. This image then is what the galaxy looked like 12 million years ago, because that is how long the light took to get to Earth.
